The Hunting Wireline Scratcher / Brush is designed to loosen and remove paraffin wax and scale deposits from inside the wall of the completion bore. This operation is usually carried out with the well flowing through a reduced choke, to remove the loose wax or solids.
The scratcher/ brush consists of a solid body with a series of drilled holes to accept the wire or braided cable. The wireline can be installed in two ways to fit the type of operation; either by a continuous loop “in and out” over the length of the scratcher or by cutting single lengths of braided cable to suit tubing size. In both types of operations, the wire is locked in position by grub screws.
Hunting Wireline Scratcher/ Brushes are available in various diameters and are supplied with industry standard connections upper with a fish neck and at bottom.
